i had a final exam today..
on the subway, i was sitting next to a lady. We were both sitting quietly, minding our own business, i was reviewing for my exam.
All of a sudden we saw a man rushing to get inside the subway as the doors were about to be closed, he barely made it inside, dragging his little toddler along. Feeling dismayed, me and the woman looked at each other. He could have hurt the child.
The lady seemed like an educated person somewhere in her middle ages who seemed totally appalled by that man's irresponsible act.
She blurted to me, 'How can some people be so stupid, he could have hurt his little child just 'cuz he did not want to miss this train?'
I know what happened was wrong, but the little boy and his father made it into the subway without being caught in the doors...but, she kept despising.
I agreed briefly, nodded, agreed some more, nodded some more.. but she went on..
As soon as she said, 'Back home in my country nobody..' my prompt mind opted me to change the topic.
I quickly asked her, "where is back home?"
She said, "Ethiopia"
"Cool, i'm from Pakistan".."How long you've been here"
She replied, "14 years"
"ahan, ive been her for almost 9"
'So why are people killing people in Pakistan?"
I explained, 'Pakistan is under taliban attack- victim of terrorism'
from there we got into an intense discussion about it all..
We talked about the political issues relating global terrorism and how it victimizes Pakistan and Afghanistan, how Africa being the origin of us 'homo sapiens sapiens' i.e. wise wise men, still continues to be the most poverty stricken, civil war and homicide infested region. What is it behind the global dominance of the United States, of what i call, 'Western Paternalism' and yet, why Obama bowed infront of the Saudi king. Why soldiers are still dieing in the name of the War on Peace, and if the War on Peace really makes any sense at all? Its funny how Pakistan and Afghanistan, both targets of Talibanization hence Terrorism and therfore, under constant US 'support' are geographically rich with natural petroleum and other earthly resources. Is it believable that USA has that great saintly, kind, humble 'soul' to bring peace to the victims of terrorism? Why us humans, want more of everything? Not only US but other powerful nations of our world who like to exapnd their reigns by attacking other poor nations and making them their colonies, what is it really that we want? Really..is it really peace? More power, more land, more money, more of it all!! If thats not true, then how come there is no WAR on peace for the homicide in Rwanda? Isn't it odd that there has never been any aide as significant as the War on Peace to the politicized, unnatural famine in Somalia, that is said to be caused by imperialism due to the colonization of Africa by European armies and business interest? Howcome, for the past 100 years the Palestine-Israel issue has remained unsettled and why is it not considered another HOMICIDE when the killings of innocent human life including women and children in Palestine has been more than 2 million since 1948? and how is it possible that the civil war in Sri Lanka, has killed over 20,000 within a year, but the MASSACRE is so undiscussed in the global media?
...
suddenly, she got up and hurriedly rushed out the closing doors of the train, she almost missed her station...
as soon as she left, I opened my text book again and continued reviewing for the exam.
My exam went well.

Starting a blog
so.. this is my first blog ever.
i dont know why i created my own blog, for the past few weeks i had this unexplainable urge to do so.
ok now that i think of it.. i might know why im starting this blog...
last month i found out about this guy in my univ who had passed away sometime back. just to give u guys an idea( if there is anyone here reading my blogs other than me) i finished undergrad 2.5 years ago, so this guy who passed away, i didn't know him too well, just used to see him often on campus. when i found out about his death, i also found out that he used to blog unanimously, and after his death his sister and some friends released his blogs.
after reading his blogs i realized he was a very nice guy and it felt like i knew him better, like... it was someone who could have been a good acquaintance or a friend to me had i gotten a chance to get to know him. I don't know why but i felt a feeling of loss at that moment. I was sad, for him, for his family, and somewhat for myself.
thats the first time ever, i felt the need to start my own blog.
ok ok i know my explanation doesn't make much sense, but whatever man, i wanted to make a blog so i did
:)
btw, im really bored right now, (AAAHHH thats why i made my blog right now!!!)
its almost 1 am and I don't want to sleep. I love staying up till late at night, the good part is (or bad) that i don't have a job these days, i do have school, but its only evening classes.
i happen to have a final exam in 3 days from today, if i want i could be studying right now... but like i said... 'if i want'
damn life... sometimes u just dont know what to do with it.
anyway.. will catch u guys sometime later
stay safe
